Momoka Sumitani (隅谷モモカ) is one of the protagonists of GaruGaku. who is in the unit West2. Her character is based on Girls2 member Momoka Sumitani.

Appearance []
Momoka wears a red tie as well as a red highlighted school jumper. Her skirt is dark blue which is also accented with red highlights. Her long chestnut brown hair is loose and half tied up, and there is a large red bow behind her head. She has red eyes.
For her summer uniform, Momoka wears a short-sleeved white polo shirt, with the same tie and skirt. Occasionally she can be seen with a pink vest.
In the live action which takes place a year after the events of the anime, Momoka has dark brown hair. Her uniform is a white polo long-sleeved shirt with the school's logo on the left side of her chest. She wears a navy blue and green bow and also wears a navy blue plaid skirt with light blue lines. Her knee-length socks are black and she wears brown loafers.
Personality[]
Momoka is a funny and humorous person who tells a lot of jokes to see people smile. Like her teammate, Minami, she likes seeing people smile.
Although older than Minami, she could be seen as the more immature one of the duo and can be seen to easily get carried away, seen as when she tried several outfits on in the mall, which annoyed her teammate.
In the drama, she also shows a special fondness for sweets.

Momoka is a student at St. Girls Square Academy who is in the unit West2 alongside Minami Hishida.
Synopsis[]
First Appearance[]
Momoka and Minami went into the garden, meeting Toa. They introduced themselves due to Toa not knowing who they were. As A.I Momoka and A.I Minami cheer the both of them on, they do a skit where Momoka imitates a gorilla. This sends Toa, and the A.I's into laughter. As the girls happily explain that those smiles are why they perform, they begin to perform their song, Whatcha x2, and garners a large crowd.
Summer Training Camp Arc[]
Momoka is known to have passed the exams at school along with Minami, and hence get to do the summer camp.
Lateer, they are both seen in the changing rooms where Momoka proceeds to try on several outfits which annoys Minami. All the 3 units (East2, South2, West2) are shopping in the same store, but none of them cross paths with each other.
After that, Momoka had been in the same summer training camp with Minami, South2, and East2.
Originally, South2 was meant to perform, but due to traffic issues, they were unable to come on time. Momoka and Minami perform instead, surprising everyone.
Girls Arena[]
The south2 members go up against east2 and west2 to stand on the Girls Arena. However, much to everyone’s shock, everyone draws with 19.99 points each. Though Misaki is initially shocked, she looks at the teacher wondering what decision is to be made. At that moment, Toa decides that they perform together instead, as one unit. Ultimately agreeing, the girls perform as Girls2 for the first time on the Girls Arena with “Centimeter”. Welcomed and loved by the audience who ask for an encore, they perform “Tsunagu Tsunagu”, Girls2 version of east2’s “Tsunagu”.
